Beach Part 4: The Final Instalment
We packed our bags, said our goodbyes, and headed back to South Beach Marina for a little more fun. Which we did have. We saw beautiful mcaws, ate a good lunch at the Wreck at the Salty Dog, and even got some super man ice cream to top off our vacation. So now we had to start our long trip home. I hoped I wouldn't have to spend most of it in the backseat, but I did. We didn't run into too much traffic which was nice. We made it home a respectable time, but as soon as we pulled into the driveway our vacation abruptly ended. When we get the care parked in the carport we see that 2 huge limbs from our pecan tree in the backyard had fallen during a bad storm. Not bad. Then we open the door to our house and are hit with stifling air. Alan goes to look at the thermostat and it says that it is 80 degrees in our house and it was set for 72. Our air conditioner had frozen up and we needed to get the kids to bed and unpack. While unpacking we realize that we left our travel fan at the beach house. So Alan had to go to Wal-Mart to buy another travel fan because we use that for noise to sleep and also that night we will be using it to keep cool. Alan said bad things happen in threes and I believe those were our 3. We had a nice vacation but reality sure did come and hit us real hard real fast. Our air did get fixed eventually and it just needed freon and didn't cost that much to repair. Thank God! Well, that's the story of our beach break. It was fun and we will probably try to go back on our own sometime. Thanks all, and have a good rest of the day!
